However, the requirements for linear guides across different industries are almost identical; the main difference lies in varying precision demands. Currently, the domestic machinery industry has the following requirements for linear guides:

  1. Certain guiding accuracy

Guiding accuracy refers to the straightness of the motion component as it moves along the guide rail, as well as the relationship between the guide rail and its corresponding reference surface. It also refers to the accuracy of positioning.

  2. Sufficient rigidity

The external forces acting on the moving parts are borne by the guide rail surface; therefore, the guide rail must have sufficient contact stiffness. Consequently, the specific pressure on the rail surface is typically reduced by increasing the width of the rail surface, and auxiliary rails are installed to bear the internal loads.

  3. The movements are light and fluid.

It’s lightweight and effortless to operate, with uniform speed and no creep at low speeds.

  4. Good structural process

On the premise of meeting other requirements for linear guides, the linear guide should have a simple structure that is easy to machine, measure, assemble, and adjust, thereby reducing costs.

  5. Good wear resistance

Guide rail performance refers to the ability of a guide rail to maintain a certain level of accuracy even after prolonged use. While guide rails inevitably experience wear during operation, the amount of wear should be minimal, and any wear should be automatically compensated for or easily adjustable.

  6. Little affected by temperature changes

The guide rail should ensure normal operation even under varying working temperatures.

The primary function of a linear guide rail is as follows: As the moving component travels along the linear guide rail on Taiwan’s printing machinery, the guide rail located above the supporting component provides both support and guidance. In other words, the supporting structure ensures that the moving component moves smoothly in the specified direction under the influence of external forces (loads and weight).

The above is some information about bearings, which we hope will be helpful to our users.
