The advantage of the internal circulation design is that the nut’s outer diameter adopts a compact “circular” profile, as shown in Figure 1. Therefore, this design is particularly suitable for machines with limited internal space. It is important to note that the screw shaft of an internal circulation ball screw must have a fully threaded end, and the shoulder diameter at that end must be smaller than the root diameter of the screw shaft; otherwise, the nut cannot be assembled.
