A single-axis robot, also known domestically as a single-axis manipulator, electric slide table, linear module, single-axis drive, or single-axis robot, can achieve two-axis, three-axis, or gantry-style configurations through various combination options. Consequently, multi-axis robots are often referred to as Cartesian coordinate robots. The overall structure of a single-axis robot typically consists of a gantry-frame design. Based on the production process requirements for workpiece machining, multiple processing devices—such as machining centers or CNC equipment—can be integrated into an independent automated production line, enabling automated and mass production of workpieces and significantly improving both production efficiency and product quality. Depending on the length of the gantry span, additional intermediate columns can be appropriately added between the end columns. Generally, a column spacing of around 4 meters is ideal. In terms of gantry-frame layout, extra manipulators or other processing equipment can be conveniently incorporated into the same processing unit to meet specific machining demands and further enhance production efficiency.
